Tributes have today been paid to PC Jeffrey Phillips on the anniversary of his death.

Jeffrey died, aged 35, in a road accident while he was instructing on a motorcycle course on 22 July 1983.

South Wales Police Federation chair Steve Treharne said: “It’s important that we honour our fallen colleagues.

“Today we remember PC Jeffrey Phillips and pay tribute to his service and dedication.

“Our thoughts are with Jeffrey’s family, friends and colleagues as they remember their loved one who paid the ultimate price in serving the public.”
