‘Have your say on pay and morale’

Have your say in the Police Federation’s annual pay and morale survey.

That’s the message from South Wales branch chair Steve Treharne with just 10 days left until the survey deadline.

This year the survey has been combined with the demand, capacity and welfare survey as the Federation aims to build a comprehensive picture of the issues facing officers on pay, morale and wellbeing.

Steve said the results will support the Federation’s campaigns for fairer pay and conditions.

He said: “It’s more important than ever that our members have their say in our annual pay and morale survey. They’re facing unprecedented demands on their time at work and on their income at home and it’s bound to be having an impact on their morale.

“This survey will help us to find out just how big that impact is, and we can take that to police chiefs, police and crime commissioners and the Government when we’re campaigning for fair pay and conditions.

“Thank you to our members who have already completed the survey and I would ask as many as possible who haven’t yet had the chance to do so before the 3 October deadline.”
