Today marks the 50^th anniversary of the death of South Wales Police Sergeant Clifford Thomas.

Clifford, 49, died in a road accident while instructing on a motorcycle course on 3 October 1974.

South Wales Police Federation chair Phil Walker said: “Today we remember Clifford, his service to the Force and the communities we serve, but we also think of the loved ones he left behind.”
