Federation remembers fallen officer
Today marks the anniversary of the death of a South Wales chief inspector.
Trevor Smith was 40-years-old when he died in a road accident while examining students on a police driving course on 18 November 1972.
Phil Walker, chair of South Wales Police Federation, said: “Our sympathies today are with Trevor’s family, friends and former colleagues as we remember his service to the Force and the communities of South Wales.
“The loss of a serving officer is always felt across the Force but it is absolutely devastating for the families and friends they leave behind so we feel it is important that we continue to show them that we keep them in our thoughts.”
