South Wales Police Federation today remembers a Force PC who died on this day in 1970.

PC Leslie Sears, 28, was on traffic patrol when he died in a road accident.

“It is incredibly important that we honour those officers who died while serving the Force and the communities we serve,” says Phil Walker, chair of South Wales Police Federation.

“Today we remember Leslie and also keep his family, friends and former colleagues in our thoughts.”
