South Wales Police Federation chair Phil Walker has paid tribute to a Force sergeant who died on this day more than 50 years ago.
Sergeant Clifford Thomas was 49 when he died in a road accident while instructing on a motorcycle course on 3 October 1974.
“Today we remember Clifford and the service he gave to the Force and the public. Our thoughts are with his family, friends and colleagues,” says Phil, “Our fallen colleagues should never be forgotten.”
