Health and Safety

We work closely with forces and health and safety representatives to help ensure that policies, equipment and working conditions support both physical and mental wellbeing. From promoting access to improved uniforms and PPE to encouraging regular risk assessments, we aim to make the workplace safer for everyone.
We also provide access to relevant training to keep officers up to date with best practices. We actively encourage anyone who spots a potential hazard to report it early so it can be addressed quickly and effectively. Supporting a culture of safety is key to ensuring that officers can do their jobs with confidence and care.
Post-Incident Procedure
We recognise that police work often involves making fast decisions in high-pressure situations. If an incident occurs – particularly one involving serious injury or loss of life – it’s important that officers are supported through the Post Incident Procedure (PIP) with care and clarity.
During this process, which may involve external investigations by bodies such as the IOPC, we offer guidance every step of the way. This includes support in preparing statements, attending interviews, and providing access to legal representation through our trusted law partners where needed.
Our priority is to ensure the process is handled fairly and that officers feel supported and protected throughout. We also assist in cases where PIP is initiated due to operational concerns or potential risk to others.
Misconduct
Facing a misconduct allegation can be stressful and upsetting, but you don’t have to go through it alone. Whether the issue stems from a public complaint, operational decision, or internal concern, we are here to support you.
