South Wales Police Federation chair Phil Walker has remembered a Force motorcyclist on the 47th anniversary of his death.
PC Gary Jones died in a road traffic accident while on duty on his police motorcycle on 28 June 1979.
Phil said: “The Federation will pause today to remember Gary and his service, and we’ll hold his family, friends and colleagues in our thoughts.
“It’s vital we don’t forget the sacrifice made by those who gave their lives while serving the Force and our communities.
“We will remember him.”
